If you are looking to gain basic HR skills, this role is for you! We are looking for a part-time employee to undertake a variety of administrative HR and receptionist duties. The HR assistant will offer administrative support to the HR Coordinator, from coordinating meetings filing, organizing personnel records, and recruiting. HR assistant skills we’re looking for include excellent organization ability, and strong communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resource Coordinator
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
  • Assist with recruiting efforts
  • Answer and forward incoming calls
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Apply Metered postage to all outgoing mail

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Fast computer typing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills

Condition of Employment:

Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
